This is a permanent position that requires a candidate willing to reside or already residing in Australia or Southeast Asia. Our client is looking for an experienced Toolpusher to work on a 5th Generation Jackup Rig and they are offering a permanent contract to the candidate that successfully passes a potential interview process and completes a successful rotation.
KEY DUTIES Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the drilling rig, and ensuring full compliance with all mandatory company, client, state, and federal rules and regulations. Ensure that well control requirements are in place according to operational requirements; assist in supervising well killing operations in an emergency situation. Attend pre-spud meetings and take note of all well-related hazards and ensure that they are managed appropriately. Initiate changes to the pre-agreed program when and as required, to protect personnel, environment, equipment and the well. Lead the well control team at the drilling rig in conjunction with the drilling contractor's senior personnel, including the acting Drilling Supervisor. Responsible for the completion of all preventative maintenance activities and projects that must be completed in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. Supervise equipment preparation for impending drilling operations. Ensure that the Driller and Drilling Supervisor are provided each tour with the Standing Instructions to Driller (SID) that are relevant to the planned operations. Audit the work performed by the drilling contractor and third party service contractors to ensure it is performed according to the terms of contracts and agreements.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS At least 3 years of experience in offshore drilling operations on a supervisory level. Previous Toolpusher experience, preferably on a similar semi-submersible environment. Must be eligible to work in Indonesia. Valid Offshore Survival Course and Offshore Health/Medical Certificate. Valid IWCF approved certificate. Good level of verbal and written communication in English. Industry related Bachelor's Degree preferred.
LBL Surveyor
Australia - Start Date 25 Jan. 2014
During a 28 day rotation, you will be required to use the Long Baseline (LBL) positioning system on board a platform to acquire the necessary positioning data that has been requested for this project. An increased day rate and long-term contracts will be available to the ideal candidates.
KEY DUTIES Responsible for successfully carrying out survey tasks related to positioning and navigation during the mobilization of the project. To facilitate the installation, calibration and responsible use of survey, navigation and peripheral devices. Responsible for the control of results, and the analysis and interpretation of data obtained through LBL transponders and other related software and hardware for Construction operations. Ensure that regular recording of good quality survey data is maintained and added as and when required to the log book. To be able to work individually or as part of a multi disciplinary team.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Previous Surveyor experience using LBL equipment and Sonardyne software. Must be eligible to work in Australia (Australian visa or Australian national). Must have a valid BOSIET (Offshore Survival) Certificate and a valid Offshore Health/Medical.

Working on a temporary contract in New Zealand, you will cover several onshore and offshore operations and assist with the implementation of necessary regulations and the supervision of Toolpushers and other drilling personnel.
